Scuba Diving Training Begins for Barbudan Fishermen

Under the Environmental pillar, barbudanGO begins scuba diving training on Barbuda as requested by Barbudan fishermen. Dive Caribe will be conducting the training of ten fishermen over the next few weeks with assistance from Fisheries officers Rishma Mansingh and Roy Morris from the Barbuda Council and the Project manager Amelia Beazer. Thank you to the Waitt Institute for funding this initiative. barbudanGO would also like to thank donors: Barbuda Ocean Club and Deborah Brosnan associates for their contributions.

barbudanGO Completes New Office Space!

barbudanGO has completed the construction of a small office space for the functioning of its organization. Starting in November 2021, the ‘Do It Right’ Construction completed a turnkey office space in April 2022. Previously Directors had been operating from their personal homes and using cell phones. This is a momentous occasion for the organisation and will help the group to be a strong part of civil society in Antigua and Barbuda
